COOKIES

The honest version is short: we don't set any. Here's the one exception, and why there's no banner asking your permission for it.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to hold onto, usually so the site can recognise you again later — to keep you logged in, remember a preference, or more often than either of those, follow what you do across the web for advertising. rynua.com doesn't do any of that. Nothing is written to your browser to remember you, count your visits, or connect what you do here to what you do anywhere else.

The one exception

Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, may set a short-lived cookie of its own when needed to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic or protect the site from abuse. It carries no advertising or analytics purpose, is not used to build a profile of you, and cannot be used to recognise you across other websites. It exists only to help keep the site secure and available.

Why there's no banner

Under the EU's ePrivacy rules, consent is generally required before a site stores or accesses information on your device unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested. We do not use advertising, analytics or other non-essential cookies. The security cookie Cloudflare may set is used only when necessary to protect and operate the site. That leaves nothing here that requires your consent, which is why there is no cookie banner interrupting you.

If that ever changes

If we ever add something that requires your consent — analytics, marketing or anything else that tracks you across visits — we will ask before it is used and update this policy accordingly. Until then, this is the whole policy, and if it fits on one screen because there is nothing more to say, that is intentional.

More detail on what this site does and doesn't collect lives in the privacy policy. Questions about any of this go to contact@rynua.com.
